These terms apply when you play PoleGuesser at poleguesser.com. By playing, you agree to them. They say what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Playing PoleGuesser
PoleGuesser is a browser game. You can play without an account. The daily of your home country, the leaderboards, friends groups, challenges and practice are free and stay free. The game itself (its code, design, name and logo) belongs to its operator: please don't copy it or offer it as your own. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Fair play
- Play yourself: no bots, scripts or other automation, and don't look up the distances while you play a daily.
- Don't use several players (for example in several browsers) to push yourself up a leaderboard.
- Don't attack or overload the game's servers or try to get around its score checks. If you find a bug, please tell us.
We may remove scores that look like cheating and exclude players from the leaderboards, without notice.
Nicknames and group names
Names are public. They must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, contain links or advertising, or pretend to be someone else. Names are filtered automatically, and we may remove or change any name or group that breaks these rules, without notice.
Accounts
You don't need an account. If you sign in with Google, your progress is saved to your account so you can play on several devices. Keep your Google account secure: whoever can use it can play as you. You can delete your account at any time in the game (Delete my account). We may delete accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Without an account, your progress lives only in your browser, and clearing your browser data starts you over.
PoleGuesser Plus
PoleGuesser Plus is coming soon. This section applies once it is on sale.
- What it is: a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks the full archive of past dailies in every country, the World Tour (today's daily in every country), exclusive pole skins and a supporter badge on the leaderboards. Everything that is free stays free.
- Price: the launch price is CHF 9, shown in your local currency at checkout. The price shown at checkout is the one that applies.
- Account required: Plus belongs to your player account, so you need to sign in to buy it. That way you keep it on all your devices and don't lose it when you clear your browser. If you delete your account, Plus goes with it.
- Payment: payments are handled by Stripe. Where Stripe acts as the merchant of record, Stripe is the seller and its terms of sale also apply. Otherwise we are the seller and Stripe processes the payment.
- Immediate access: Plus is digital content that is available right after payment. At checkout you agree that access starts immediately, and you acknowledge that this ends the statutory right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU (and some other countries) have.
- 14-day refund: we refund the full price anyway if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. Just email support@poleguesser.com. Plus is then removed from your account.
- If PoleGuesser ever shuts down: we will announce it at least 30 days in advance.
Availability and changes
We work to keep PoleGuesser running smoothly, but we can't promise that it is always available or free of errors, and the services it relies on (hosting, database, maps) can fail. We may change the game, for example its towns, countries, scoring or features. We may also change these terms; if a change matters to you, we will say so in the game or on this page before it applies. The date at the top shows the current version.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage from using PoleGuesser, for example lost progress, scores or streaks, or outages of our providers. This does not limit our liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live still applies, and you can also bring claims before the courts there.
